The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health (ACPWH) is holding its annual conference on the 20th – 21st September 2008 at the St. John’s Hotel, Solihull.

There will be an accompanying exhibition held on Saturday 20th September 2008, of which Neen are attending.

Delegates attend from all parts of the UK and work in a variety of settings. The delegates specialise in the physiotherapeutic care of women in relation to pregnancy, childbirth, pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence, pelvic girdle dysfunction, and in the conservative care of women with gynaecological problems. Many of ACPWH members also specialise in the treatment of psycho-sexual problems in women, pelvic floor dysfunction in men and are proactive in educating women and promoting many aspects of healthcare.

With over 100 delegates expected to attend, there will be a breadth of experience and knowledge from consultant physiotherapist level to senior level practitioner to student level. Students are encouraged to attend as this event provides not only a base for extending knowledge but a perfect opportunity for networking.

The exhibition is anticipated to reflect a wide range of products with companies attending the event reflecting the pharmaceutical, medical device, continence and teaching aid elements of physiotherapy practice.

This event represents a significant part of the educational activity of the ACPWH in 2008 but, equally, it allows for an opportunity for networking.
